Esta noche, desde Beverly Hills, California, se celebra la 83.ª edición de los Globos de Oro, premios que reconocen lo mejor de las producciones cinematográficas, televisivas y sonoras. Nikki Glaser regresa, por segunda ocasión, como la anfitriona de la gala, a la que también se sumaron Amanda Seyfried, Ana de Armas, Colman Domingo, Dakota Fanning, George Clooney, Joe Keery, Kevin Bacon, Miley Cyrus, Orlando Bloom, Snoop Dogg y Zoë Kravitz como presentadores.
La llamada “Fiesta del Año de Hollywood” anunció la lista de nominados a principios de diciembre. Una batalla tras otra, de Paul Thomas Anderson, destaca con nueve nominaciones, seguida por Valor sentimental (Joachim Trier) con ocho candidaturas y Sinners (Ryan Coogler) con siete. Hamnet (Chloé Zhao) compite en seis categorías, mientras que Frankenstein (Guillermo del Toro) en cinco.
En el ámbito televisivo, The White Lotus lidera con seis nominaciones y Adolescencia le sigue con cinco. Only Murders in the Building y Severance suman cuatro candidaturas, respectivamente. En esta edición, el certamen amplió su mirada más allá de los contenidos audiovisuales y premió a ‘Good Hang With Amy Poehler’ (Spotify) como el mejor podcast del año.
Hamnet recibió el galardón a Mejor Película de Drama, mientras que Una batalla tras otra obtuvo el premio a Mejor Película de Comedia o Musical. Paul Thomas Anderson fue distinguido como Mejor Director. El agente secreto, dirigida por Kleber Mendonça Filho, destacó como Mejor Película de Habla no Inglesa. Entre las series más premiadas de la noche se encuentran Adolescencia, The Pitt y The Studio.
El pasado 8 de enero, los Globos de Oro otorgaron el Premio Cecil B. DeMille a Helen Mirren y el Premio Carol Burnett a Sarah Jessica Parker. Ambas artistas fueron homenajeadas durante el especial Golden Eve.
